Integration of expressive glass with architecture
Fisher Residence
Louisville, KY
Dichroic glass on diagonals with polished heavy plate glass arcs on a stainless steel base. This glass sculpture stands in the living room and is positioned beneath a skylight near a wall of windows. The clear curving plate glass arcs support and are supported by the multi-hued angles of dichroic glass, illustrating the contrasting but mutually reliant ideas within a duality. The concept that the architectural column originated as a representation and an expression of a natural form served as the basis for this design.
